Dr. Jeanette Trac was born and raised in Edmonton. She pursued her undergraduate studies at the University of Alberta before moving to the vibrant city of Boston, where she obtained her Doctorate of Optometry with clinical honors from the New England College of Optometry.
Dr. Trac completed her clinical rotations in various private practices, community health centers, specialty contact lens clinics and hospitals, including the Jamaica Plain VA Medical Center and Boston Medical Center. While in Optometry school, she volunteered through the Lion’s Club, Student Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity and the Perkins School for the Blind. She also served as VP Finance on the executive team that founded the school’s first Canadian Association of Optometry Students organization.
Outside of work, she enjoys spending time with friends/family, playing volleyball, listening to podcasts and traveling! Dr. Trac finds joy in meeting patients and taking part in enhancing their visual health and wellness. She has a special interest in myopia control and orthokeratology.
Dr. Trac is a member of the Alberta College of Optometrists, Alberta Association of Optometrists, Ocular Wellness and Nutrition Society, Scleral Lens Education Society, and American Academy of Orthokeratology & Myopia Control.
